
June 14 is China's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day. This year's theme is "Let cultural relics glow with new vitality and shine with new splendor". The main city event hosted by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and the Hunan Provincial Government will be held in Changsha, Hunan Province, and will present the theme exhibition "The Endless Yangtze River Rolls on - Yangtze River and Chinese Civilization Exhibition". According to the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, this year Changsha's main city activities will include a series of cultural relics publicity and display, selection and promotion, and related releases.
During the event, the opening ceremony of the host city event, the theme forum "Let Cultural Relics Glow with New Vitality and Bloom with New Glory", and the 5th Cultural Relics Science and Technology Innovation Forum will be held; grassroots cultural and museum workers will be invited to give thematic speeches; a list of selected and recommended cases for high-quality development of cultural relics undertakings and a list of high-quality new media communication projects for Chinese cultural relics in 2025 will be announced; related activities of the National College Students' Cultural Relics Protection Law Moot Court will be held; cases of the integration of cultural relics and technology will be released; the launch of "National Treasure Moments", "Take a Lesson Together | Our Chinese Civilization - Rice "Xiang" Floating for Ten Thousand Years", and "China Archaeology Lecture Hall" (Fifth Season) will be announced; the documentary "Because of the Yangtze River" and the large-scale cultural program "Treading Song·Cultural Heritage" will be launched; the issuance of the National Treasure series of commemorative coins (the third group) will be launched; the theme exhibition "The Endless Yangtze River Rolls in - The Yangtze River and Chinese Civilization Exhibition" will also open. The exhibition takes the Yangtze River as the stage, cultural relics as the protagonists, the evolution of civilization as the main line, and national character as the characteristics. It tells the great role of the Yangtze River in the origin, formation and development of Chinese civilization, and in the integration, evolution and rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Exhibits of the “Buddha’s Light and Golden Shadows: Gold and Bronze Buddha Statue Art from Past Dynasties in the Hunan Provincial Museum”
As the host city, Hunan Province will organize 425 distinctive supporting activities such as cultural relics exhibitions, special lectures, research and practice, knowledge quizzes, and art performances, and launch a series of people-friendly measures such as ticket reductions, extended closing hours, and benefit performances. The Hunan Provincial Museum will launch exhibitions such as "Buddha's Light and Golden Shadows - The Art of Gold and Bronze Buddha Statue in the Museum's Collection of Successive Dynasties", presenting more than 100 gold and bronze Buddha statues from the Wei and Jin Dynasties to the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the Hunan Museum's collection; Changsha City will launch 10 supporting activities such as the "Masterful Hands and Ingenuity · Cultural Relics Reborn - Make History Within Reach" cultural relics restoration experience, and 5 special exhibitions such as "Images of the Heart - Gu Gan's Chinese Calligraphy Abstract Art Exhibition", to promote the sharing of the results of cultural relics protection and utilization by all people.
During the Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, under the advocacy of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, local cultural relics departments and cultural and museum units will organize more than 7,000 offline and online activities, of which more than 3,000 cultural relics benefit the people. Exhibits of "Revhua Nong Shen - Tang Dynasty Life Aesthetics Exhibition"
On June 18, Fengxian District Museum will join hands with 8 cultural and museum units to present the "Revlon Deep - Tang Dynasty Life Aesthetics Exhibition", which will display 323 cultural relics. From vivid painted figurines to tri-color wine glasses of various shapes, from the uniquely decorated Bacchus camel to the precious Kaiyuan Tongbao "limited edition", the types of cultural relics include ceramics, gold and silver wares, jade and stone wares, silk fabrics, etc.
